This competition-winning scheme is a new model for high-density sustainabledesign that creates a desirable destination for living, working, and leisure ina Chinese urban context. The high density mixed-use development, locatedalong the Grand Canal in Wuxi, gracefully accommodates low-rise buildingsorganized around private and public courtyards, with tall buildings lockingin to meet the required GFA . Varying scales of public spaces, from privatebalconies to community gardens to major civic spaces, help ameliorate theimpact of the high density and enhance the sense of the community.

The project is designed to achieve a LEED® ND Gold certificate and featurespassive design, green energy infrastructure, and building energy reductionplans for both commercial and residential building types.

我们的概念设计从众多竞标方案中脱颖而出，是兼顾高密度城市开发和可持续发展的全新典范，打造了生活、工作和休闲的新集合。我们让高密度的商住楼宇与无锡大运河自然衔接，并将地块中的开放空间有机地连成一体。因此，美丽的环境成为了生活空间和工作空间的纽带。同时，绿色庭院、植物、城市公园和天然水体进一步提高了项目的整体环境质量。从私家阳台到社区花园再到主要的市民活动场所，不同尺度的公共空间设计改善了高密度带来的压抑，也加强了居民与社区之间的联系。

这个方案旨在获得美国绿色建筑委员会能源与环境设计先锋奖（LEED ND®）绿色社区金奖认证。我们重点研究了被动式节能设计、绿色能源基础设施以及商住两用建筑的节能减排方案。
